Pennies For Patients                                                                        

During the week of April 30th- May 4th, Fairless Middle School participated in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies for Patients program; a service-learning program that gives students the unique experience of working together to help raise awareness and funds in honor of thousands of children and adults fighting against blood cancers! Thank you to everyone that donated. We were able to raise $1130.00.

Ray A. Kroc
Each year, one 8th grader from Fairless Middle School is nominated for the Ray A. Kroc Award.  This award recognizes students that excel in the areas of leadership, sportsmanship, scholarship, and citizenship.  These students give 110 % in everything that they do.  This year's award recipient was Lina Ruff.  Congratulations!

Congratulations Zach!
7th Grade student Zach Miller was named a United Way of GSC Kid of Character.  Way to go Zach!

Spelling Bee
On February 6th, several students participated in the Spelling Bee.  The top five students were Victoria Sanders (top picture), Skylar Blumenauer, Allison Largent, Andy Gill, and Ben Gilkerson.  Everyone did a great job!

Science Camp
The College of Wooster, in an educational partnership the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, is again sponsoring the B-WISER Science Camp which is a residential camp for girls entering the 8th grade that is dedicated to promoting the interest of young women in science and engineering.  Girls come from all over Ohio to learn about biology, chemistry, physics, model-robotics, LEGO® robotics, and geology. .  More information, including the application, is available on

Summer Camp

Avenue Arts Marketplace & Theatre will be offering summer camps.  They will offer a variety of camps focusing on comedy, acting, dance, and much more.  Please visit for information.

Box Tops and Mids' Lids Collection
We will collecting Box Tops and Mids' Lids.  The Fairless Middle School Parents' Club uses the money from these items for rewards, incentives, and more for our middle school.  Also, the homeroom that bring in the most, each month, will be "sweetly" rewarded.
